When London was announced to host the Olympic Games, it wasn't only the capital city that was filled with excitement. Anyone of these roads around Bournemouth will get you to and from Weymouth if you're coming from or heading to London. In addition to the roads are the seaports and harbours. Poole is the second largest natural port in the world, and as a result there are many ferries carrying travellers to and from France, and other parts of Europe. There is also an airport in Bournemouth which can take you to various locations around the world.
So, it's only natural that anyone looking to head down to Weymouth to catch some of the sailing will end up popping into Bournemouth to see what's what.
